5-6 Science Researchers,
Copying is cheating! The fancy name is plagiarism. It means that you stole words from someone else's writing. At your age, your teacher will either give you a failing grade or make you do your report again. In high school, your teacher may give you a failing grade for the semester and you will have to repeat the class in summer school. In college, your professor will have you expelled from school. In the work world, you could lose your job and your reputation. So how do you keep from plagiarizing???
Take notes! Take notes! Take notes!
Use highlighters for key words.
Use graphic organizers.
Write your report from the graphic organizer notes.
Ask for help from your librarian or language teacher.
Rewrite if necessary.
